Terracotta Pullman
Hand-Woven Ceramic Baskets
Hand-Woven Ceramic Baskets
Join Terracotta owner Candace Baltz to weave the perfect little bread baskets and berry bowls, just in time for spring and summer celebrations!
In this small, one-day workshop, students will learn to use our studio extruders to create ribbons of clay, and then weave the clay ribbons around rectangular forms. Baskets can then be further customized with sculptural elements, handles, and more.
Finished baskets will be about half the size of a dinner plate. Larger baskets are possible with practice--sign up for multiple classes if this is your goal.
Students should return to glaze their pottery 3-4 weeks after the workshop. Once glazed, this fun and functional basket is food safe, and able to be used in the oven to keep rolls and muffins warm, put through the dishwasher or microwave.
Price includes all materials, equipment, instruction, firing and glazing.
