Terracotta Pullman
Aug. 20-22
1-4 p.m.
Day One: During the first day of “camp” tweens and kids will learn the basics of pottery and become oriented to the studio and how to use our tools, equipment and share a community studio, in addition to starting their slab-building process of building a bird house and bird feeder out of clay.
Day Two: Students will resume their ceramic work, paying special attention to finishing touches, and preparing their pottery for the drying process.
Day Three: Students are encouraged to create what inspires them, using the skills they’ve developed over the previous two days.
Prices include all instruction, clay, tools, kiln firing, and dip-glazing. Pottery is generally ready to glaze two weeks after creating.
Campers are grouped with peers to ensure positive, age-appropriate projects, instruction, and social experiences.
Camps occur Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. Add Friday for a bonus day of wheel lessons, fused glass creations or custom glazing project for $49.
