May Functional Pottery Classes: Celebrations and Special Occasions

Create large-scale functional pottery in time for summer gatherings and celebrations! Taking inspiration from the Organic Minimalism aesthetic, we will use natural shapes and textures to slab and form beautiful and functional pottery that’s safe to go through the dishwasher and attractive enough to use with company.

In this class, we will continue to build on the skills of our prior weekly workshops, and add in use of our wall-mounted extruder to create ribbons of clay and handles, as well as under glazing and sgraffito decorative techniques

• May 1, 6:30-8:30 p.m.: Cake Stand
• May 8, 6:30-8:30 p.m.: Woven Bread Basket
• May 15, 6:30-8:30 p.m.: Serving/Salad utilizing underglaze and sgraffito
• May 22, 6:30-8:30 p.m.: Assemble and glaze pottery

Pottery will be ready to pick up and use June 5.
