Aug. 3: Custom Ceramic Spoons

Scoop some joy and creativity into your summer--and  kitchen! --with custom ceramic spoons! 

Make up to 6 spoons perfect as custom handmade gifts for friends and family in this beginner-friendly workshop.

Using the studio slab roller and templates to shape one-of-a-kind spoons by hand, artists of all abilities can customize them with sculptural additions and textures. 

Pretty enough for decoration, and food-safe and dishwasher safe so you can use them, too, our spoons workshop helps artists create the perfect little sugar spoons, stirring spoons and serving spoons.

Pottery made in this workshop can be dip-glazed at no cost about two weeks after making. Dip-glazing requires no bookings, just drop in and dip!

Artists under 12 are invited to participate with an accompanying adult. Be sure to book a seat for each person.

Because of the fragile nature of protrusions on pottery-- like the spoon handles--it is likely that  not every spoon created in the workshop will not make it through the entire process of drying, firing, glazing and firing again. That's why we start by making six in the workshop--so the odds are ever in our favor.
