Somewhere between Saturday-morning cartoons, the Scholastic Book Fair, and being told to get off the internet so someone could use the phone, we developed excellent taste in fictional weirdos.

Now we’re putting them on the holiday tree.

Join us for an ’80s- and ’90s-inspired pottery painting event featuring ceramic ornaments of the Gremlins, Garfield, Care Bears, and more familiar faces from your formative years. Pick your nostalgic favorite and give it a paint job worthy of your childhood bedroom. Or your current living room. You pay bills now. You make the decorating decisions. 

These vintage ceramic creatures are part of a 1200+ slip casting mold inventory we recently acquired on the Palouse. These creations were part of the "Ceramics by 'Rene" pottery painting studio in Moscow, Idaho. If you grew up around here, there's a very good chance you painted pottery with 'Rene back in the day. Maybe even these exact figurines.

Go classic, go glitter-free Lisa Frank energy, or give Garfield the goth phase he’s clearly been considering since 1978. No painting experience needed, just a willingness to get oddly invested in a tiny ceramic character.

The soundtrack to your questionable fashion choices

We’ll be painting to an ’80s and ’90s playlist, because your emotional-support Gremlin deserves a proper soundtrack. Singing along encouraged. Remembering every lyric while forgetting why you walked into a room? Relatable.

Finally, a use for all that deeply specific knowledge

We’re bringing ’80s and ’90s trivia, too. All those years of watching TV instead of doing homework? Your time has come. One trivia winner will earn a mystery prize straight out of our favorite decades. What is it? Nice try. That’s the mystery part.
