Terracotta Pumpkin Lanterns

Sculpt one-of-a-kind terracotta pumpkins, perfect for your porch this autumn! 

In this workshop we will use coil-building techniques to form large (8-10" tall) pumpkins that, when fired, are a beautiful, early red-brown. Approximately half of our time will be spent sculpting the pumpkins, and the other half spent "carving"--adding holes and designs. 

This workshop includes all clay and equipment and the first firing of the pottery. As these pieces are intended to showcase the natural red terracotta clay color, glazing is not included and will not be facilitated in our studio. This also means these pieces are ready to take home and use much quicker than usual-- 3 weeks after creating.
