Pour Decisions: A Teapot Workshop
Pour Decisions: A Teapot Workshop
You've made worse decisions.
There's probably one in your outbox right now. But signing up for a pottery class? With us? Genuinely, objectively, one of the better calls you'll make all month.
Pour Decisions is our beginner pottery workshop where you'll hand-build a functional, food-safe stoneware teapot from scratch — no experience required, no prior clay contact necessary. You'll slab, shape, attach a spout and handle, and walk away with something genuinely useful that you made with your own two hands. We'll also have a sampling of teas available to enjoy while you work, because what kind of teapot workshop would this be without...tea?
Choose from half a dozen teapot templates and customize the design that suits you and your cuppa. Glazing is included — dip-glazing keeps it approachable and the results are consistently beautiful. Your finished teapot will be kiln-fired and ready for actual tea-making. Dishwasher safe. Bragging-rights safe. Deeply good decision.
You'll learn:
- Slab-building techniques for functional pottery
- How to attach handles and spouts (harder than it sounds, more satisfying than you'd expect)
- Basic glazing — quick, forgiving, and genuinely fun
Everything is included: Clay, tools, glazing, instruction, and kiln firing. You just show up and commit to the bit. We handle the rest.
Fair warning: Once you've hand-built your own teapot, all ceramics and pottery will seem a doable. We accept no responsibility for this. But we'll happily show you our class schedule and discuss studio membership.
