Local Garlic Braids & Graters
Local Garlic Braids & Graters
Join us for an autumn collab that you'll use and enjoy all year!
Smoot's Flavor Farm and Terracotta Pullman are cooking up a one-time workshop that celebrates locally grown food and handmade, functional pottery.
Garlic braiding is both beautiful and practical--it extends the life of garlic up to a year by ensuring airflow around the bulbs, while keeping the garlic from sitting on a surface.
Participants will braid their own bunch of locally-grown garlic, and then form a functional, food-safe garlic grater using Terracotta's PNW stoneware clay.
Sunday, Sept. 15
2-4pm
Terracotta Pullman
107 S Grand Ave, Pullman
All materials are provided. Additional garlic and flowers will be available for purchase for participants who wish to create an extra-large braid.
This workshop is facilitated by Lindsay Myron of Smoot's Flavor Farm and Candace Baltz of Terracotta Pullman.
