They will learn how to use and share our tools, equipment and creative community space. They will get to set up and begin centering clay on the wheel, and throwing their first bowls.\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eDay Two:\u003c\/strong\u003e Students will resume their ceramic work, paying special attention to the use of water, thickness and and texture of their creations. They will examine example pottery for why it did or did not turn out, and work to apply that insight to their own works as they begin on their mugs and vases.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eDay Three:\u003c\/strong\u003e Students will learn how to work with leather-hard clay by trimming their creations from the prior two days, and preparing their pottery for drying. At this stage, students will add a handle to their mugs, create a foot for their bowls, and shape their vases.
