If glazing pre-made pottery is more your speed, check out our schedule all weekend here.

Join us for a fun, relaxing time in our studio for the following:

Friday & Saturday:

  • 9:30 a.m.: Mini Pumpkins
Join us to make your very own mini-patch of pottery pumpkins! In this workshop, you will learn to use the slab roller, pick from more than 600 textures to customize your gourds (squash?) and learn how to cut, fold, mould and press your pumpkins into a variety of shapes and expressions. Make as many pumpkins as you'd like with the 2lbs of clay and time provided. Pumpkins can be customized as jack-o-lanterns and candle holders, as well as personalized for just about any interest and niche. This workshop is intended for all ages and all abilities.
    • Noon: Gnomes
Make up to four custom gnomes with the clay, tools and time provided in this all-abilities, all-ages workshop. Artists will be led through how to use a combination of beginner-level sculpting techniques to create one-of-a-kind gnomes for the garden, gifts and good luck. Once glazed, your little gnomies are safe in most kinds of weather outdoors--but like all of us, they really hate being left out in the snow. With more than 600 textures in the Terracotta Pullman pottery studio, you'll find just the right way to personalize gnomes for every one in your life.
    • 2:30 p.m.: Custom Ceramic Ornaments
Get creative with our 500+ templates and 600+ textures to make custom ornaments! This workshop is intended for all ages and abilities, and many local families have decided to make ceramic ornament making an annual tradition. With up to two lbs of clay and two hours in the studio, most folks are able to create eight to ten, one-of-a-kind ornaments in this workshop.

    • 9:30 a.m.: Tiny Houses
Let’s sculpt cottages, gnome homes, fairy houses or little replicas of our favorite places! In this workshop, we will create little houses that can be used as candle luminaries or house plant decoration. The buildings vary in size from 2” by 2” to about 5” by 5”—depending on the artist’s inspiration. We provide building textures, such as brick, planks, siding, shingles and more—as well as templates for cutting out the sides, roof, doors and windows. And—you’re also welcome to find inspiration online and bring your own tools and materials.
