Kids and Tweens Pottery Wheel Workshops
In our 2-day wheel workshops, students get hands-on experience with our wheels and instructors! After completing this workshop, kids are eligible to sign up for and use our wheels in the studio during Wheel Hours after school during the week.
In this workshop, students learn the basics of how to safely set up and use a pottery wheel; how to center and throw small and functional bowls and vases, and how to share a community pottery studio. Projects include berry bowls, candle holders, spoon rests and trinket dishes.
Workshops meet on a Tuesday/Thursday or Wednesday/Friday so that clay (and students!) have a chance to rest between sessions. This way, pottery made on the first day is then ready to trim and add handles on the second day of the workshop.
All clay, firing, equipment and instruction included.
Snag one of these stools for the tweens and kids in your life that can’t stop watching TikTok videos about pottery--or sign them up multiple sessions so they can continue to practice throwing with instructor support.
