Come create more scary creatures from Chupacabra and Mothman to Bigfoot, merfolk and more! We will share some folklore stories while learning and practicing beginner sculpting techniques in the making of our favorite mythical monsters.
Kids and tweens are supported in learning the skills and techniques to make the outlined projects and themes of each camp--and more importantly-- enthusiastically encouraged to use those newly developed skills to sculpt imaginative pottery of their vision and creation. All clay, firing and food-safe dip-glazing is included in the cost of camp.
Our artists set up at different stations in the studio, grouped with others their age, and try out sculpting, the pottery wheel, pottery painting and fused glass making throughout the week.
Facilitated by Terracotta owner and founder, ceramicist and educator Candace Baltz, our camps encourage kids ages 8+ and tweens to get their hands dirty, use their imaginations, and sculpt what they think the clay wants to be.
Pottery made in this camp is ready to pick up after Sept. 13.
